It is with profound sadness that we report the sudden and unexpected death early on Monday morning, September 8, 2014, of our friend and colleague Dave Karr.
Dave was a founding member of the firm and practiced with several of his partners for more than 35 years defending physicians, surgeons and other healthcare professionals in all manner of professional liability cases.
He was a graduate of Cherry Creek High School, received his B.A. from the University of Puget Sound (1975) and his J.D. from the Loyola University School of Law (1979). Dave was admitted to practice in Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. As a trial attorney, Dave was recognized by his peers as one of the very best at what he did, being selected as a Colorado Super Lawyer and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Above all, Dave was a devoted husband and father to his wife Laura and their children Emily and Bradley. As we grieve the loss of our wonderful friend and talented colleague, we will remember and celebrate Dave's kindness, sense of humor, professionalism and extraordinary dedication to his family and his clients.
