Josh Berry

Biography

Josh was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. He received his undergraduate degree from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, where he double majored in Political Science and Economics while also serving as Captain of the Knox College men’s soccer team. After a one year stint serving as a Case Assistant at a law firm in Washington, D.C., Josh, a die-hard Kansas Jayhawk, decided to heed his calling and enroll at the University of Kansas School of Law.

While in law school, Josh served as an Editor on the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy and was an active member of the Moot Court Council, where he and his partner were chosen to compete in the National First Amendment Moot Court Competition at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. In addition, Josh served as an appellate advocate during a one-year clerkship with the Defender Project, a clinic that provides criminal defendants appellate representation

Even during law school, most of Josh’s experience was gained working for insurance defense law firms. Before making his way west to Denver, he clerked at two highly regarded Kansas insurance defense firms, where he worked in the areas of medical malpractice, construction defect and workers’ compensation.

Josh is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Kansas, and has been admitted to the U.S. District Courts for both the District of Colorado and the District of Kansas. He is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association and Young Lawyers Division. In addition, Josh was just elected to serve a one year term on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Denver Bar Association. His practice currently focuses on medical malpractice, personal injury and construction defect litigation.

Josh is extremely enthusiastic and loves all of the opportunities Colorado has to offer. He spends his spare time traveling, running, hiking, and enjoying the company of his family and friends.
