Barbara J. Stauch
Biography
Barbara Stauch joined Pryor Johnson Carney Karr Nixon, P.C. as Special Counsel in 2010. Her practice focuses in the areas of construction defect litigation, personal injury and general liability defense, and auto accident defense matters, as well as appellate matters in these areas. Barbara also has extensive experience defending real estate agents and brokers in errors and omissions cases. Barbara has first chair trial experience, and has also handled arbitration matters and appeals, and has argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals.
Barbara attended the University of South Dakota, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, with the University Scholar designation. Barbara completed her legal studies at the University of South Dakota School of Law, during which she served as Production Editor of the South Dakota Law Review.
In 2009, 2010 and 2011, Barbara was named to the “Rising Stars” list in Colorado Super Lawyers magazine in the area of Construction Litigation. Barbara also had the opportunity to be a speaker and co-presenter at the 2009 Colorado Defense Lawyers Association Annual Conference, and more recently has been a repeat guest lecturer at the University of Denver School of Law for a course entitled “Day 1: Denver Civil Practice Lab”, where she discussed enforcing discovery and discovery disputes with law students. Barbara is currently a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute. In her free time, Barbara enjoys spending time with her husband Geoff, traveling, camping and cooking, and playing and listening to music.
